Product information materials are becoming an increasingly important factor in the value-added chain. Products consist of software and hardware and the two are distinguished increasingly by the information accompanying the particular products, which can be part of a specific service or can even precisely define the properties of the product as late as the point of use.
The task of technical documentation is to create, prepare and manage the information gathered in the product lifecycle and which is relevant to simultaneous or subsequent processes—and to do this in a relevant, structured and efficient fashion. The ever-greater customization of products and increasing development times generate an increasingly congested bottleneck in the technical documentation process.
Throughout the course of numerous projects reinisch AG has developed a procedural model that make these developments manageable. Together with the customer, reinisch AG implements standard methods for the research, authoring and preparation of production information materials.
We adopt these methods and handle the creation of information using systems specially set up for this purpose. In this way it possible for customers to take advantage of all of the benefits offered by modern content management systems, without having to invest fully in these systems. The division of labor between internal editors and those at reinisch is effective, with quality assured across the system interfaces.
