Storage of session data
Each time a user accesses a page from the portfolio of services offered by reinisch AG and each time a file is opened, access data containing information about this operation are saved on our server in a log file.
Each data record consists of the following:
- the page from which the file was requestedthe
- name of the file
- the date and time of the request
- the data quantity transferred
- the access status (file transferred, file not found etc.)
- the type of web browser used
- the IP address of the client
The data that are stored are used for statistical purposes only. These data are not passed on, either for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
If there is a possibility to enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names addresses) as part of an Internet offer, disclosure of the data by the user is explicitly at his/her own discretion. Your data will also be treated confidentially in these cases and not passed on to third parties. A link to the aforementioned session data likewise does not occur.
Upon request, users have the right to obtain information, free of charge, about the personal data stored about them. In addition, pursuant to the statutory regulations, they have the right to correct, block and delete these personal data.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are transferred from the Internet to your computer along with the actual data you have requested. The data are saved on your computer so that they can be called up later.
We use cookies in certain areas. It is also possible that cookies are used on linked pages without our bringing this to your attention first.
Particularly with respect to logins, what are referred to as session cookies are necessary as we use a single sign-on concept for purposes of user-friendliness in the authentication and access control to the different areas of our portal.
This covers the establishing of a session between the client and server, which allows you to move freely about the entire portal without having to sign on again each time you access a different area. The session is stored in the form of a cookie containing a randomly generated number.
An additional cookie stores the login information (username, user permissions and validity of the session) assigned to you for access control purposes. You can think of this in terms of proxy login data. Instead of being prompted to enter your login details again, the cookie is sent to the server and accepted as valid identification.
Validity
The validity of both cookies is limited to the duration of your visit to our portal. They are automatically deleted when you exit the browser. A link to personal data is not made and it is not possible to retrace the activities of a user.
You also have the option to explicitly request to have your username for the login permanently saved in a third cookie. This simplifies the login procedure if you frequently use the portal as your username will automatically be filled in on the login page and you only have to enter your password. We should make clear to you the risks of this procedure as this poses the hazard of abuse of your login data by third parties.
Most browsers are configured to accept cookies automatically. You can, however, deactivate the saving of cookies or configure your browser so that it notifies you whenever a cookie is offered.
